About me
I call myself the serendipitous mom. Strange I know, but if someone had asked me 9 years ago how I felt about being a mom my answer would have been very different than what it is today. I thought it would be the end of who I was as I knew it. I thought it would ruin any chance I had a living a full life, replete with traveling, fashion, wine and leisurely baths. I thought that I would have to give up all of the things that made me who I was.
It has been almost a decade and in that time I have learned a lot. I’ve grown mentally spiritually and emotionally. I have faced many health struggles, which you will soon learn more about. I have maintained multiple careers as a Registered Nurse and recently started my own personal training and fitness company. And at 41, I am in the best shape of my life. I have accumulated a massive treasure trove of life lessons, hacks, health tips and yes style wisdom, and I would love to share it all with you.
The definition of serendipity is “an unplanned fortunate discovery,” and becoming a mom was just that. What I thought would end me was truly just the beginning. My daughter has brought more joy and richness to my life than I ever could have dreamed of, or deserve. I very quickly learned that to be a mom you may have to sacrifice a lot of things, but maintaining who you are, style and all shouldn’t be one of them. There is a way to stay true to yourself, to keep your sanity, stay fit and look great AND be a mom. We are the serendipitous moms, the un-mom moms. We are who we’ve always been, only better.
